Beach Escape and Snorkel with Lobster Lunch
Beach Escape and Snorkel with Lobster Lunch
Immerse yourself in the incredible natural beauty and marine life of San Salvador's lovely tidal lagoon. Continue sailing on a pontoon boat to High Cay, a private-isle paradise for swimming and snorkeling. Destress and unwind as you enjoy a sumptuous afternoon lunch on the beach featuring grilled lobster during this enchanting getaway.
Begin your blissful private-isle escape with a short drive to Pigeon Creek & Snow Bay National Park, nestled on the southeast coast of San Salvador, where you'll board a pontoon boat that will ferry you through a coastal wonderland. A knowledgeable guide is on board to enrich your understanding of the local sights and history.
Let your cares and concerns drift away as you relax amid Pigeon Creek's sparkling turquoise waters ringed by mangrove forests and sugar-white sands. As you glide through this sinuous tidal lagoon, with its seagrass beds attracting an abundance of marine life, keep an eye out for starfish, turtles, rays, sharks and colorful tropical fish. Numerous species of birds also frequent the estuary, depending on the season and time of day, from herons, egrets, and cormorants to rare Bahama woodstars and bananaquits, to name a few. Relax on the beach, or don snorkel gear to snorkel up close to the pristine reefs observing an abundance of tropical fish.
Then, get ready to enjoy authentic Bahamian hospitality when your sailing adventure continues to the private shores of High Cay. In addition to the pristine shoreline, here you'll discover the welcoming culture of the Bahamas when you take a break from your beach activities to savor a delectable lunch at the water's edge. Headlining your feast are grilled lobsters (brushed with garlic-lemon butter), Angus beef kebobs served with pasta and a garden salad. Wine, beer, rum punch, refreshing beverages and include island music for a festive vibe to round out this unique tropical isle experience. Having soaked up lots of sun and fun, sail back to San Salvador to rejoin your Seadream yacht.
