This week we are pleased to introduce you to Gareth, our Activities Manager on board SeaDream II. Gareth loves nothing more than entertaining our guests, especially while making cocktails or leading them in their next activity. After several years in the role of bartender and Chief Bartender, Gareth naturally assumed the role of Activities Manager. When he is not on board, he loves to spend time engaged in water sports, traveling, and hanging out with friends and family, including his cats and dogs. Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Caribbean—and why?
A: St. Barths. The island has great infrastructure, history, shopping, food, and nightlife—not to mention amazing beaches. The island is truly an incomparable upscale yachting playground.
Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Mediterranean—and why?
A: The Croatian coastline. There are many great seaside towns to visit independently, each with its own historical venues, architecture, taverns, and seaside cafes. The cuisine is incredible. The coastline has an unmatched natural beauty, and the most amazing clear water and secluded harbors. I always find a new place to explore when we sail the Dalmatian Coast.
Q: Where does “It’s Yachting, Not Cruising®” mean to you?
A: This phrase symbolizes the experience we offer to our guests, in essence it is the difference between being on a small, intimate vessel and a larger vessel with no connection to the crew. As a crew member, I can safely say that this alone creates the difference between “yachting and cruising.” We are a family on board and our guests express that they feel the same way; we could not achieve this if it wasn’t for the genuine care that every crew member gives each guest.
